Dell Vostro 1220 Leaked : Beauty and Performance Under One Roof

dell_vostro_1220_03
There is no word from Dell about its 12 inch budget notebook, but we have managed to get some pictures and specs of the upcoming Vostro 1220. The laptop has good glossy finish and it seems that they have hired some designers to improve the design rather than asking their engineers to do that as with other dull laptops from Dell. The notebook does not score bad on the specs either. Rather than a CULV based processor or Atom processor, it packs a Core 2 Duo Processor, 4GB RAM and 320GB HDD. Here comes a few more pictures.

10 Reasons why Apple MacBook Air is the laptop only fools should buy

apple-macbook-air
Apple MacBook Air packs no technology that can be called re-inventing the wheel. It doesn’t come with enough sparks in its performance to win any prize. It is a light laptop but not exactly the most. It is a thin laptop but it doesn’t add to any practical usability for shoving off those extra few millimeters. It isn’t a cheap or value-for-money laptop that one would buy with his eyes closed. It is actually for the Apple fanatics who die for it for reasons unknown. Here are 10 more reasons why we think the Apple MacBook Air doesn’t deserve much acclaim to be polite and sucks to be accurate.

Nokia Booklet 3G Netbook with Hot-Swappable SIM Card and GPS

nokia-booklet-3g
We thought that Nokia would release a tablet in their forthcoming Nokia World 09 on September 2. But it seems they are eying a bigger scenario as they announced a totally full function PC inside a netbook form factor. It seems to run on Windows 7 and comes with in built 3G with hot-swappable SIM Cards and Assisted GPS functionality which doesn’t look like just another netbook in that already crowded market segment. We don’t have any information on its pricing yet and you have to wait till September 2 for any further information but we think that Nokia would manage to get some heavy subsidy by cellphone plans like they did with the Nokia Surge. Acer Aspire 3810T Timeline Review

aspire_3810
The Timeline Series of Acer introduces us to its thin and light ultra-portable notebooks with long lasting battery and decent performance. And unlike other slim profile notebooks it doesn’t make a hole in your pocket with their ultra-high price tag. The 13.3 inch 3810T is really a value priced notebook for those who have to carry their notebook a lot more than many others. But does this laptop have any serious deal breaker? We have made a review to find the answer. Have a go.

Dual screen laptop from gScreen for hunky designers

GScreen Spacebook dual screen laptop
Like love, gadgets don’t come in any fixed shape and size. Take a look at this laptop and spare a time for Sony VAIO mini. The difference is perhaps the best advertisement for gadgeteers. Anyway, lets not be nostalgic about our electronic spouses. Its time for a little bit of craziness. This gadget makes me feel, umm, uncomfortable. I just do not like the idea of carrying this mammoth around in my hand. But then, think for a second for the section of professional designers, filmmakers, photographers. Won’t they really benefit from this? The two screens will be sleeping on each other over a 15.4-inch design. Then it will slide on both sides to give you a dual-screen look as you can see. Really impressive idea! but executers? There are three bare necessities.

Top 5 Laptops within Rs. 30,000 in India

netbooks
There were some days when a laptop would cost Rs. 80,000 (about $2,000) and even in that price you could only manage to get yourself a laptop with only basic configuration which had performance nowhere near the performance of a desktop computer. Today laptops are available at as low as Rs. 20,000 and in that price you can have a decent laptop enough for net surfing, listening to music and doing office works at the same time. In fact, it has become a special category of laptops called netbooks which are only meant to meet these needs without costing an arm or a leg. Here are the best laptops that you can get under Rs. 30,000. Almost all of these laptops have nearly the same configuration with Intel Atom Procesor, 1 GB of RAM, 160 GB HDD and a 10 inch screen. We have ranked them in the order that gives you the best bang for you bucks.

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Review

dell-mini-10
At last Dell has understood that the 10 inch netbook market is really lucrative and to take a good position in the market you have to be different from the crowd by introducing some new features and maintaining the quality standard at the same time. Dell is just trying to do this with options for upgrade such as integrated mobile broadband, GPS, built-in TV Tuner etc. At the same time they are delivering a roomy keyboard in a thin and light format. But does this notebook has any glitches that can make it a deal breaker? We have made a review to find the answer. Have a go

HP Pavilion DV2 Review

hp-paviliondv2
HP Pavilion DV2 is no ordinary notebook. The 12 inch laptop sports a new AMD Athlon Neo Processor which seems to hit the sweet spot between the low performance laptops with Atom Processors and the the high priced laptops with Core 2 Duo Processor. In this laptop you can play the full HD 1080p movies without any problem or can play the 3D games that you can’t play on the netbooks. But heating is a factor that can ruin a great laptop to a worst one. And AMD processors traditionally has been well-known for their higher thermal outputs. Can this laptop break the myth and produce good output performance even at lower temperatures? We have made a review to find the answer. Have a go.

Asus K50IJ Review

asus-k50ij
Asus is the synonym of value for money when it comes to choosing laptops. Their latest K50IJ series is a full size budget notebook but has enough power to please those who are looking for a laptop with decent performance. If you are not expecting much from this budget priced laptop, then you’ll be surprised to see what you get for the amount of money spent on it. But does this laptop has enough performance to be really considered as an excellent desktop replacement. We have made a review to find the answer. Have a go.

Sony VAIO X to set new standard of battery life for ultraportables

sony-vaio-x

Sony has shown off a new ultraportable with 11.1 inch display at IFA 2009 which they say will set a new standard for stamina with its all day battery life. The machine is built of carbon fiber to achieve a thickness of half inch and a weight of just a pound and a half. But don’t get too exited, the sad part of the story is the system will run on underpowered Atom Processor. So, expect no gaming or heavy multitasking on it. Can you guess what would be the price of this ‘netbook’?

Toshiba Satellite L355 Review

toshiba-satellite-l355-s7902
Toshiba isn’t exactly well known for its comprehensive laptop ranges, especially when there is Apple and Sony with their luxurious laptops, Dell and HP with their standard laptop offerings and Asus and Acer with their vast and cheap netbook collections. Toshiba has tried to enter all these markets with their Portege, Quosmio, Satellite and Tecra Series but all in vein. And now it seems they are trying to define a market of its own with its latest 17 inch laptop with decent performance in the $350 netbook price range. But does this latest Satellite L355 have any glitches that can be a deal breaker? We have made a review to find the answer. Have a go.

ibmnotebooklenovog530laptop

The notebook surely has good enough specs and features under a budget pricing but does it have any glitch that can be a deal breaker? We have made a review to find the answer. Have a go.

asus-g51j-back-angle-590

Asus may be best known for their exclusive netbook lineup but they can also churn out some good performance mainstream notebooks like K50IJ or touchscreen tablet like Eee PC T91. But it doesn’t cost a pretty penny like the Alienwares and is available at under $1500 to make the budget gaming enthusiasts happy. But does it have any deal breaking cons?
